Saguache County Museum

The newly remodeled Saguache County Museum now encompasses more
history than ever! With a 1700 foot addition, complete with new
restroom facilities,
the Museum is holding a Big Opening May 30th, for their 46th
annual event:
Within the Saguache County Museum, visitors may view
a large collection of Indian artifacts, a pioneering memorial,
authentic
schoolroom, a vast mineral collection, pioneer ranching parlor
with piano, and their renowned jail, featuring information on Alferd
Packard, thought to have been jailed there.
Outside in the yard lies an array of
wagons, and other historical items. Soon coming is their gift shop,
which is to be added in
the near future.Prices for admission to the museum are :
$3 - adults,
$1 - children 12 and under.
Hours are 10am - 5pm,
7 days a week,
Memorial Day
through the
3rd week in September.
